Twee gesogte #agri-toekennings kom Wes-Kaap toe!

Two prestigious #agri awards for Western Cape!
Agri Western Cape is proud to congratulate two Western Cape producers who brought two prestigious awards to the Western Cape last week.
Johan van der Schyff, egg producer of Plettenberg Bay and Western Cape’s Young Farmer of the Year, was named the Agri SA Toyota SA National Young Farmer of the Year on Thursday, 7 November in Johannesburg. Sewis van den Horst of Villiersdorp was named the New Harvest winner. He farms with nectarines, apples and pears.
The chairman of Agri Western Cape’s Young Farmer Committee, Mr PF Theron, says the fact that the Western Cape has won both the awards this year, shows that there is immense expertise in the province’s agricultural sector. “Johan and Sevis are true ambassadors for agriculture and for the Western Cape. They are smart, dynamic entrepreneurs and I believe their success and dedication will serve as inspiration to many young farmers and new entrants to agriculture,” he said.
